Peanuts are now being banned at some ballparks. Next will probably be the kraut dog. Guess there is really not much reason to go to the games anymore. No loyalty by players or owners, no peanuts, and maybe, in the future, no kraut dogs. Loyalties in the United States have all but disappeared. Employer loyalty relationships with its employees are all but extinct. I don't blame this on either the employers or employees. It's just seems to be attributed to modernization, advancement, and ROI expectations. ___________________________________________________________ Welcome, With the holiday season winding down more families are trying to get their last vacations of the summer in before the children go back to school. If this is the case with your family or if you use the commercial airlines for other reasons, I have included some information that will speed up the process of going through security and boarding the plane for your flight. This information is from the (TSA) Transportation Security Administration. Also check out the 3-1-1 article link at the bottom of this portion. Make Your Trip Better Using 3-1-13-1-1 for carry-ons = 3 ounce bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3 oz. container size is a security measure. Consolidate bottles into one bag and X-ray separately to speed screening. Be prepared. Each time TSA searches a carry-on it slows down the line. Practicing 3-1-1 will ensure a faster and easier checkpoint experience. 3-1-1 is for short trips. If in doubt, put your liquids in checked luggage. Declare larger liquids. Medications, baby formula and food, and breast milk are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint. Come early and be patient. Heavy travel volumes and the enhanced security process may mean longer lines at security checkpoints. As I have discovered through experience, that a lot of these programs are great to work with and the people running them will put forth a every effort to assist you in every way that they can. Your efforts are rewarded if you can get the traffic to your site and get these peoples to interest and make them stay long enough to purchase something, whether it is a product or a service. The main ingredient for a successful website is great content that tells the visitors why they should buy from you. Become an expert in your field. There is enough information on the web that anyone with enough patience and desire can become very knowledgeable in almost any field. The key is to pick something that peaks your interest to a point that you don’t mind taking the time to learn about the subject. Writing about a subject is very easy to do if you have any kind of mastery of the English language and know how to effectively use the search engines. If you are not a professional copywriter, it would be in your best interest to study some effective copywriting methods by some well know professional or professionals. One of the first things that I learned was that we are not selling our customers a product but a solution to one of their problems or a fulfillment to one of their desires. My advice to anyone is to come up with good original content, submit your website to as many Search Engines that are relevant to your content, and optimize make your site for high ranking. Read good articles on ways that will help you gain traffic to your website and try to follow these instructions as closely as you possibly can. Find ways to advertise whether they are free or paid. Pay Per Click or PPC is one of these. You may also want to start an interesting and informative newsletter. I do not mean a sales page but a newsletter that is beneficial to your readers. Most marketing newsletters are nothing more than sales ads for the person sending them. There is not beneficial information only affiliate links. My theory about these is to hit the unsubscribe link as soon as possible. Irving Kristol __________________________________________________ Good To Know Health Wise: From the USDA New Study Correlates Preschoolers' Screen Time With Obesity A study at the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Children's Nutrition Research Center in Houston, Texas, has shown that many preschoolers exceed American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations that the children spend no more than two hours a day watching television and using the computer. The researchers used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey that surveyed a diverse group of more than 1,800 preschoolers, ages 2-5, concerning their media consumption or screen time, measured as TV/video viewing or computer use. The researchers compared children watching more than two hours of TV/videos to those watching two hours or less, and computer users to nonusers, relative to various selected health outcomes related to obesity. Results showed that 30.8 percent of the preschoolers studied exceeded the AAP guidelines with TV viewing time alone, not including computer time. Those children who surpassed the AAP recommendations on TV/video viewing were more likely to be overweight or at risk for being overweight. _________________________________________________________ Do You Hypermile? If you are one of these people, be careful. At one time Google considered this against their TOS and I assume it still is.
